Welcome to our Online Interactive Workshops: SCREENPRINTING section!
At CraftyMonkies we always intended to create an online offer so that every member of the crafting community can be involved! Now, from the comfort of your own home & the amazing Zoom website interface, you can craft along with our expert tutors via a series of online courses/tutorials which will be rolled out in the coming weeks & months!
We are also going to be introducing a multi-tier (ie Silver, Platinum, Annual Membership) Online Club (Take 3) very soon which people can sign up to via Monthly Subscriptions, subject to how much content they would like to pay for or wish to see. Among other things, the Take 3 Online Club will feature regular Tutorials, Competition Giveaways, Bonus Content from a wide range of talented crafters, a private-access Facebook group and Q&A sessions with our carefully-selected and in-demand tutors.

Online Interactive Workshop with Karen Lewis!

Join us for an Online Interactive Screenprinting Workshop with top textile designer, Karen Lewis.
Please note: this course is a REPEAT of that first run on Wednesday 13th May 2020 and features two price points: £25.00 for those happy to watch & learn, having bought their own kits (listed below), and a £45.00 ticket which includes the class, Karen's supplied kits and postage of those kits to you (assuming UK mainland) prior to the course!
A percentage of profit from this course will be donated to Karen's chosen charity.

Online Interactive Workshop: Screenprinting
Come and learn the space friendly portable embroidery hoop method of screen printing. Karen will be teaching you everything you need to be able to print on fabric at home. You will learn all the techniques needed including design, stencil cutting and printing in this fun informative workshop.
You will learn how to prepare screens with the stencil cutting method, understand what designs work best with this method, along with techniques to help you get perfect prints every time.
For this Online Interactive Workshop you will need:-
General purpose masking tape
A5/A4 cutting mat
Old towel/wadding that you don’t mind getting paint on - at least FQ size.old credit/store card to use as a squeegee
Apron/old shirt that you don’t mind getting paint on.
Old unwanted fabric to practice print on
Fabric to print on - this doesn’t need to be pre washed. Quilting cotton is best.
The following are also needed and are available to purchase as a kit from Karen, if required, via www.karenlewistextiles.com
6” embroidery hoop
Water-based acrylic fabric paint for screen printing
Newsprint stencil paper
Tickets for this Online Interactive Workshop (via the Zoom platform) will be limited and allocated on a first-come/first-served basis.
At this stage it's unclear whether Karen will run a follow-on Online Interactive Workshop where participants get the chance to turn their designs into a gorgeous Quilted Tote Bag and Project Bag but rest assured we'll post details of that course here if/when it happens!
