Introduction to Miesje:-
Miesje Chafer is an artist, textile designer and maker based on the south coast. Originally working as a screen printer, she started developing digital fabric designs which she now has printed and uses for her patchwork projects. She discovered English paper piecing around 10 years ago and completely fell in love with the slow nature of it, as well it being a great way of using small scraps left over from other projects.
What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-
During this workshops participants will learn the basics of English paper piecing, including basting and then stitching the pieces together. Particpants can choose between making a hexie ‘flower’ or jumbo hexagon using half hexgons. We will aim to complete at least one patchwork ‘flower’ or jumbo hexie, however participants can carry on and complete more if they finish within the time.
