​Following the fantastic response to his first workshop, we're thrilled to welcome Joe Cunningham back for another inspiring online class! ​I very much enjoyed working with Rachel to put together a workshop this year, so much that I wanted to do another! Kaleidoscopic starts with a simple improv block, and ends up with a group of blocks that can fit together in crazy fun ways. We'll make four blocks in the workshop and you can make as many as you want to spread wild designs all over the place. Easy, fun intro to my way of improv.

 

What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-

In this engaging 3-hour session, I'll guide you through the process of creating a unique 15" improvised quilt block—no patterns, no rules, just creativity. Once your original design is complete, you'll learn my clever techniques (if I say so myself) for making an accurate imitation of your block, opening the door to endless design possibilities. The real magic happens when you arrange four matching blocks together. Simply rotate and position them in different ways to reveal beautiful kaleidoscope-inspired patterns, each one more striking than the last. Because every participant begins with their own improvised design, every finished quilt will be completely unique. Best of all, your original block becomes the blueprint for a quilt of any size. Continue making imitation blocks and watch your one creative idea grow into a spectacular quilt that's entirely your own. Whether you're looking to loosen up your creativity, learn a fresh approach to quilt design, or simply spend a fun afternoon sewing with little old me, you'll leave this workshop with new techniques, renewed confidence, and a project you'll be excited to keep growing long after the class ends. Material and Fabric requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

• This is a machine sewing class, so you will need your machine and all standard sewing supplies: neutral color thread, pins, scissors, etc.

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat. (Note that the finished square is 15”, so you need at least an 18” ruler.)

• 1 yard background fabric

• 5 or 6 colors, quarter to half yard each.

Tickets for this Online Interactive Workshop (via the Zoom platform) will be limited and allocated on a first-come/first-served basis! Any free pattern and other information, relevant to this course will be forwarded to you after booking and approximately 5 days before the course date.

The ticket price of £40.00 is based on ONE person attending this crafting class.
