Online Interactive Course: Appliquéd Running Duck

Janet loves to work with fabrics & threads in a soft-colour palette, combining them with appliqué, free machine drawing, hand embroidery and hand-quilting to create small textile artworks and quilts. In this fun Zoom workshop (her first!) we’ll be using all Janet's favourite techniques to create a little Runner Duck textile picture which is ready to be framed and hung on the wall. Honestly, no real life-drawing skills are required! Techniques covered are as follows:-

Fusible appliqué

Free motion stitching

Designing your own hand quilting templates

Layering up

Hand quilting

adding backing

Mounting onto card ready for a frame
