Online Interactive Workshop: Autumn Quilt

This is a wonderfully simple but effective pattern, which makes great use of a staple of quilting – the half square triangle! This Pinwheel Block is made of four half square triangles and is a quick and fun way to make a cosy lap quilt for those chilly Autumn evenings. Change the fabric choice to festive colours and it makes the perfect Christmas present!

Perfect for beginners. During this class you will learn tips to help you get those points lining up like a pro. You will also learn how to work quickly by chain piecing as well as learn how to sash a quilt, talk about layer and quilting and then see how to bind it. You can choose to make it without sashing if you like - the choice is yours. There will be plenty of time in the class to play with colour and make a good start on getting the quilt done. You will also receive a fully illustrated copy of the pattern after the class, so you are fully supported!

Requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop are as follows (for the whole quilt):-

• · 8 Fat ¼ quarters of fabrics.
• · 75cm for the inner borders/sashing and the binding.
• · Standard ruler, rotary cutter and mat.
• · Backing & Wadding to fit.

Please ensure you pre-cut the following before the class:-

You can pre-cut some of your fabrics before we start. For each block you will need to cut 2 light and 2 dark or contrasting squares measuring 6 inches square. Sarah would suggest cutting one pair from each of your eight fat quarters to get you started. You can cut more as you go along through the day!...
