Online Interactive Workshop: Festive Bunting - The Twelve Days of Christmas

She's a firm CraftyMonkies fan-fave so, with Christmas fast-approaching, no surprise that Sarah Payne enters the fray once again to teach a suitably festive-flavoured workshop: this time Sarah will show you how to create some striking Bunting on the theme of The Twelve Days Of Christmas!

Introduction by Sarah:-

The Twelve Days Of Christmas has been celebrated in one fashion or another within these shores since Tudor times. The twelve days begin with the birth of Christ on the 25th December and finish with Epiphany, or Twelfth Night, on January 6th, which honors the arrival of the Three Kings or Three Wise Men (Magi) to see the baby Jesus. Advent was seen as a period of fasting – and the real festivities began on Christmas Day with feasting, parties galore and celebrations until the 6th January. This bunting is designed to honor that history – with a small pocket for a treat to mark each day until the 'end' of Christmas. And let’s face it – there's absolutely nothing wrong with another excuse to give ourselves a little more of the festive spirit!

What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-

You will learn to make this simple bunting containing pockets – you can adapt them to make advent bunting for next year if you like!

Beginners

Fabric Requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

• Selection of Christmas fabrics – 4 x Fat-Quarters would be ample.
• 1 x Fat-Quarter of contrast for the binding and the numbers.
• A4 piece of Bondaweb or HeatnBond iron on adhesive

Equipment Requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

• Diamond ruler – do not worry – a template will be provided if you don’t have a diamond ruler

Pattern Information Relevant to this Online Interactive Workshop:-

A template for the bunting pieces and the numbers will be provided to all those who book online for this workshop.

Any free pattern, or other information, relevant to this course will be forwarded to you after booking and approximately 5 days before the course date. The Ticket price of £25.00 is based on ONE person attending this crafting class.
