Hey there all you Monkies fans: Happy New Year! My name is Ingrid and I’m going to be your FPP instructor for this workshop. I’ve been working with fabrics all my life, first as a fashion buyer and then for my own fashion label. I’ve been quilting since high school and started 2019 my online business with FPP patterns. I absolutely love, love, LOVE Foundation Paper Piecing, because it's fairly easy and gives you perfect accuracy. In this workshop today, you get to make a stunning quilt block without having to sew an entire quilt!
 
What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-
We’ll be making this stunning quilt block of The Lotus Flower. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite patterns; it’s also part of the ‘Buddha quilt’. You will learn to paper piece and also learn some basic tips & tricks to make your Paper Piecing life that bit easier going forward.
 
Skill Level for this Online Interactive Workshop:-
Intermediate: You should preferably have done some paper piecing, but could also be new to this particular skill.
 
Material requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-
Printed pattern - printing out onto regular paper is absolutely fine.
Templates in the size you want to be making - the easiest is the 10” x 10”.
Please cut out the templates (along the dotted line) before the workshop date, to save time in the class.
 
Fabric requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-
Fabric needed for this quilt block (depending on the size you will be making) is as follows. The bigger the size, the easier it will be so, based on you working to a 10” x 10” block you’ll need:-
Approx. 1 x Fat-Quarter for the Background
Fabric Scraps for the different Lotus Flower parts

Sewing Machine
Sewing-Machine Thread
Fabric Glue Pen - not essential, but makes your life easier (available from Sewline)
Cutting Mat
Rotary Cutter
Acrylic Ruler
Fabric Scissors & Paper Scissors (for cutting the Templates)
