Introduction by Vendulka:-
In 2021 I saw the work of Sheila Frampton-Cooper at the Festival of Quilts and I fell in love with her vibrant colours and perfectly pieced curves, that seemed impossible with the methods I knew until then. And so I embarked on one of her classes to learn how to piece these intricate curves with ease and precision on small or large scale. This method was originally developed in the 90's by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry, whose work was ground-breaking at that time...
What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-
In this workshop I will demonstrate the method how to take your own sketch with as many curves and twisted lines and how to prepare it and work with it for your textile interpretation. I’ll teach you how to make it whatever scale you would like. On my own small design I will then demonstrate and you will have the opportunity to follow me at the same time in preparing the fabrics and making those intricate curved seams.

Fabric requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-
Vendulka will provide you with a small design to work with on the day. To produce this design, you will need background fabric, lighter and darker shade of two different colours. All together, 5 fabrics - the piece we will create will be A4 size, so what you want are remnants that are min A4 size. If your fabric is larger, keep it that size, we will just use little bit in the corner. As for texture we want to work with plain or colour on colour prints, you might need one busy print for your border to bring it all together, but we will not need it on the day.
