Online Interactive Workshop: Scrapbooking, Journals, Memory Albums

A fun-packed CraftyMonkies/Zoom Online Interactive Tutorial hosted by Rachel Pierman & featuring the fantastic Loti Maria who will show you how you can create beautiful memory keeping layouts for your scrapbooks, journals, memory albums and more. We will be learning all the way from stamping basics, what inks and adhesives are best, how to co-ordinate your card stock with your chosen photographs, tips on laying out your page and how to get down those stories and memories onto the page for loved ones to cherish in years to come. There is no better time than to get those photos off your phone and into a beautiful crafty project! We will be learning basics: doing a scrapbook page and then translating those skills onto a journal page within the three hours, with chats and coffee breaks in between!

With community being at the core of everything we do here at Crafty Monkies, we want you to be involved with this immersive online experience. As soon as you enter the Zoom classroom you will see all the other participants on-screen, including yourself! If you would prefer not to be seen/heard, let us know as soon as you enter the class and we will mute your camera & microphone. As soon as we have all had chance to say 'Hello' and learned how to send messages to our hosts, Rachel & Loti (this will take approx 5 mins as Zoom is incredibly easy to use!) you will all disappear off-screen and Loti will take centre-stage for the Workshop. This experience is interactive because you can ask specific questions to aid your learning and, if you wish, you will be able to show your work during the tutorial.

For this Online Interactive Workshop you will need:-

• 12 x 12 cardstock
• Scraps of coloured cardstock
• Wet glue or a tape runner
• Scissors and or guillotine
• Your favourite writing pen 
• Your favourite photographs or memories - 6x4 is a great size and www.freeprints.co.uk is great if you don’t have a printer at home!
• Ink Pads
• Your favourite stamps 
• Acrylic block if you’re using clear stamps
• A blank journal to work in, any size is fine, or just a folded piece of card if you don’t have a spare blank journal lying around!

Optional extras to help decorate the page:-

• Letter Stickers/Thickers
• Washi Tape
• Embellishments such as die-cuts/ephemera
