Introduction by Sarah:-

This design came to me in a flash of inspiration when I went on a holiday to the Northumberland coast last year. A boat trip to the Farne Islands made me fall in love with these fascinating birds, and I just had to make one for myself. So I set about designing this appliqué project.

This project is a fun and easy introduction to appliqué and is suitable for all levels of experience. I will be showing you how to make this into a pillow or cushion with an envelope back, but you could choose to make it into…
