Online Interactive Workshop: Lavender Girl Notebook Cover
The lovely Trudi Wood joins us once again and in this workshop you will mix a variety of stitches to create a unique & frankly quite marvellous Lavender Girl Notebook Cover!
Introduction by Trudi:-
With Spring in the air and the sunshine peaking out more, let's take time to mix a little slow stitching with a speedy Notebook Cover. We will cover a few basic embroidery stitches, on top of fusible applique to make our Lavender Girl. Then using that piece of work, we will earn how to measure any book or diary and make a bespoke cover for it. Once you know the technique you can embellish to suit both its purpose or make it for a friend, colleague or family member as a personalised gift. Make your diary or notebook reflect you or the person it is for so it brings joy everytime it is used.

Enlarge your design from A5 size to A4 size or by 141%. This will ensure you can fit her nicely onto an A5 notebook.
Trace your design onto your fabrics using a soluble marker or very fine pencil.
Carefully consider what colour embroidery threads you would like to use against the dress fabrics, hair, T-shirt and shoes. I used a variegated thread from DMC for the hair on the sample.
