Online Interactive Workshop: FPP - Cupcakes!

We're delighted to once again welcome the lovely Ingrid Alteneder into the CraftyMonkies spotlight, sharing more of her Foundation Paper Piecing skills & tricks of the trade via her engaging Cupcake project! included in the price of this workshop is access to Ingrid's 'Cupcake' pattern, which we'll share with all participants after they've booked onto the class.

Introduction by Ingrid:-

Hey, my name is Ingrid and I’ll once again be your FPP instructor in this course! I’ve been working with fabrics all my life, first as a fashion buyer and then for my own fashion label. I’ve been quilting since high school and in 2019 I started my own online business, focusing on FPP patterns. I absolutely love Foundation Paper Piecing because it's fairly easy and gives you perfect accuracy. The biggest thrill of all is that you get to make a stunning quilt block (without having to sew an entire quilt)! I very much hope you'll join me for this CraftyMonkies workshop!...

What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-

We’ll be making this super sweet quilt block: ‘Cupcake’.

You will learn to paper piece and also gain some basic tips & 'tricks of the trade' to make your paper piecing life easier!

Skill Level for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

Intermediate. You should preferably have done some paper piecing, but could also be relatively new to paper piecing but willing to give it a go!

Material requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

Printed pattern, regular paper is absolutely fine.

Templates in the size you want to be making - please note that the easiest is the 10” x 10”

Please cut out the Templates before the class, along the dotted line - this saves time during the workshop!

Fabric requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

Fabric needed for this quilt block (depending on the size you will be making); please keep in mind that the bigger the size, the easier it will be so, for the 10”x 10” block you will need:-

• 1 x FQ 9Fat-Quarter) for the background
• Fabric scraps for the Cupcake icing and the Cup

Equipment requirements for this Online Interactive Workshop:-

• Sewing Machine
• Fabric Scissors & Paper Scissors (for cutting the templates)
• Fabric glue pen (eg Sewline) - not essential, but it does make your life easier: these are availavle online via suppliers such as Amazon.
• Cutting Mat
• Rotary Cutter
• Acrylic Ruler

Pattern Information relevant to this Online Interactive Workshop:-

The 'Cupcake' pattern is essential, and should be printed before the course. It can be downloaded for FREE with a unique code, which will be emailed to you after you have booked & paid for your place on the class.

​Tickets for this Online Interactive Workshop (via the Zoom platform) will be limited & allocated on a first-come/first-served basis! 

If applicable, any free pattern, or other information, relevant to this course will be forwarded to you after booking and approximately 5 days before the course date. The ticket price of £30.00 is based on ONE person attending this crafting class.
