Expert Ease with the crafting legend that is Jennie Rayment - let’s talk technique!

Cut with confidence and seam with success! This is a class to sort out all those knotty dilemmas such as ‘how do you sew Tumbling Blocks, piece Geese properly and which way and why do you press the seams’. Learn how to cut templates along the correct grain and how incorrect cutting results in wavy edges and lumpy seams.

Discover how to piece accurately, get the points to match and the work to lie flat. Gain confidence in all technical aspects of this fabulous craft including from which foot to which needle and so much more. Explore curved seams. Uncover many more tricks of the trade. Create a series of samples to remind you of why, when, where and what to do to. Build confidence so that you too can sew with expert ease!

The following items are required for this Online Interactive Workshop - Please note: You are making samples - use any odd spare fabrics!

• Sewing Machine
• Two 3½ x 44" or Four 3½ x 22" strips
• Six 3 7/8” squares
• Two 7¼” squares
• Two F/Q’s in different colours or equivalent scrap fabrics
• PDF template for Curved Seam will be sent on receipt of booking.
• Thread to match fabrics
• Usual sewing supplies – Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat, Ruler, Thread, Small Scissor
