Stitch Your Imagination!
This BRAND NEW CLASS really is NEXT LEVEL EMBROIDERY, like you've never seen before from a NEW TUTOR to CraftyMonkies, artist and embroiderer, Angie Hall Anderson with her fabulous Stitch Your Imagination workshop! When Rachel saw Angie's work on Instagram she was absolutely blown away - Angie's use of colour, imagination, technique and design just blew her mind and she simply had to to ask her to deliver a class for us; luckily she agreed! Angie has come up with this totally unique class, just for us. The idea of this class is not to replicate Angie's finished pieces you see on this page but to take what she is going to teach you to create your own unique masterpieces! What an opportunity for all you CraftyMonkies followers - please, come and join us!...
Introduction by Angie:-
Hi! I’m Angie Hall Anderson,an abstract fiber artist and graphic designer living in New York City.
I’ve been doing design professionally for 13 years, but it wasn’t until I started experimenting with abstract embroidery in late 2020 that I truly felt CREATIVE. My design work has usually been about 'solving problems' for other people – a billboard to sell concert tickets, an infographic for a non-profit, etc. It never felt PERSONAL and certainly never looked like what was bouncing around in my own brain. When I started doing abstract embroidery, I finally felt like I was making things exactly the way I wanted to, inspired by the things that light me up. As a pop culture hyperfixator, fan girl and design junkie, I love the experience of turning images, sounds, stories, and experiences into abstract art that is exciting to make and fascinating to look at. I'm sure many of you feel the same way so I very much hope you'll come join me on my first CraftyMonkies workshop - I can't wait to meet you all!...

What You Will Learn in this Online Interactive Workshop:-
In this class, you will learn how to identify your inspiration, zero in on your own unique ideas, and turn those ideas into apiece of abstract embroidery. You’ll learn to establish your big picture vision, select colours and materials and make many small decisions that build on one another to create a composition YOU love. You’ll learn how to use design principles to create visual interest and texture and you will practice working through your mistakes, understanding that they are often the catalysts to something great. You’ll enjoy both the physical experience of stitching and the thrill that comes with seeing what you can make...
